应用:4-甲氧基苯酚可用于通过甲基叔丁基醚在非沸石固体酸性催化剂上进行甲基烷基化,以合成丁基化羟基茴香醚。与Friedel-Crafts烷基化反应相比,该方法更加环保。根据反应条件,4-MP也可以与亚硝酸水溶液发生反应,并以不同的比例形成2-硝基-4-甲氧基苯酚和苯醌。4-Mp可用作设计β-环糊精4-甲氧基苯酚缀合物的合成砌块,其可作为药物络合的潜在配体
